And it was glorious.
We started in Sioux Falls, in my friends ride, since there were only two of us, no need to take two cars:
We had a pretty uneventful drive from Sioux Falls to Madison, WI with a few fun stops on the way:
And then enjoyed the Hot Rod Power Tour:
(more car porn when I unload the big camera)
Stopped at some casinos:
Ate some really good food:
and had a little fun on the way back:
Questions about the car?

Two questions: was it comfortable on the “wonderful” Midwestern roads, and it the power manageable?

It was pretty comfortable on most roads. A few miles of Minnesota interstate were pretty bad, but with tour mode it was pretty good. Interior space is down in the C7 vs C6 and I did notice that (headroom and legroom specifically).
Power is very manageable withe sport cup 2’s (this car has the Z07 package) but it’s not hard to overwhelm them. Seven forward gears does mean you can trot around town without too many worries.

Is it happy pretending to be a normal car around town?
Did you dish out any oppo???

Absolutely on both questions. Daily driver capable without hesitation. The cooled seats are fantastic.

When hooning around does it feel like you're asking a lot of the drivetrain/engine etc or is it happy as a clam being used for what it's built for?

Yep and that’s with auto-x’s and various other spirited driving.
